What is an acca bet? Read our detailed guide to what an acca bet actually is.

What is an Acca or Accumulator Bet?
An acca, short for accumulator, is one of the most popular bet types at BetWright. It lets you combine multiple selections into one single bet, with all legs needing to win for the acca to pay out. Accas are widely used across football, horse racing and tennis as well as many other sports betting markets. They’re a favourite for players looking to add a bit of extra excitement to their betting.
What is an acca bet?
An acca bet combines two or more selections into one wager. Instead of placing separate bets on each outcome, you link them together. The odds for every selection are multiplied, creating a bigger overall price.
At BetWright, this means one small stake can cover several games at once. The important thing to remember is that every selection in the acca must win. If just one leg lets you down, the entire bet is settled as a loss. Because of this, accas are higher risk than single bets but they also come with the potential for much larger returns.
How does an acca bet work?
When you place an acca, you start by selecting multiple outcomes across one or more events. These could include match winners, goals markets, outrights or other available betting markets.
Each pick becomes a leg of the accumulator. As results are settled, winning legs roll into the next one, with the odds compounding along the way. Only if every leg wins will the acca be successful.
For example, a fourfold football acca could include four different match results from the same day. If all four selections win, you are paid out at the combined odds. If one match does not go your way, the acca does not return, regardless of the other results.
Why place an acca?
One of the main reasons players choose accas at BetWright is the potential to turn a small stake into a larger return. Combining odds can quickly increase the payout if everything falls into place.
Accas also add interest across multiple matches or events. Rather than focusing on a single outcome, you can follow several games at once, making weekends and busy sporting schedules even more engaging.
For many BetWright players, accas are about enjoyment as much as returns. They offer variety, excitement and the chance to back multiple opinions in one bet. As always, accas should be placed responsibly, with stakes kept at a level you are comfortable with.
Accas are a great way to cover a wide range of events in a single bet, but it's important to make sure that they stay fun. We have a wide range of helpful tools to help you stay in control over in our safer gambling hub.
