Izzy Phillips: Cheltenham Festival Day 2
Izzy Phillips returns with her Cheltenham Festival Day 2 preview, sharing her thoughts on two key races on Wednesday’s card.

It’s All Drama This End
1:20 Cheltenham
Turners Novices’ Hurdle
Selection: No Drama This End
I’ve been so impressed with No Drama This End this season. He’s had a great prep and has beaten everything in front of him quite comfortably. He’s the flagship horse for the Paul Nicholls yard, and he’s sure to have him primed for this. It’s no secret that Paul hasn’t had as many winners as he did back in the era of Big Buck’s, Kauto Star, Denman and Master Minded, but it does feel like No Drama This End could bring about a fresh and exciting era of greatness for the 14-time champion trainer, Paul Nicholls, and he should not be underestimated.

2:00 Cheltenham
Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase
Selection: Wendigo
It’s not every day you have a small share in a horse that’s running at the Cheltenham Festival, but I’m genuinely looking beyond my bias when considering his chances. Against the market leaders, to me he looks the only true stayer. Many of them are stepping up to 3m for the first time, but Wendigo has been there, done that and got the T-shirt. In his last run, his jumping just seemed to be getting better. This is perfect race placement by Jamie Snowden, and Wendigo will lift the roof off Cheltenham if he wins, with even a small section of his 4,000 owners in attendance. He can make that Cheltenham dream come true for so many, and he has a solid chance of doing so.
